Counseling for Individuals, Couples and Families

Mahshid Babazadeh Counselor

I have lived in Washington state since 1985. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington, and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science, System Counseling, at the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS), Bastyr University.

I work with individuals, couples and families; I have a significant amount of experience assisting families who have children with special needs, especially Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). While there have been considerable gains in care and research for children with special needs, families are often left behind by our current health care system. I have experienced many of these challenges myself, and have worked with families to overcome many of these unique barriers.

I am multilingual (English, Farsi and Kurdish) with multicultural competency, and have traveled to many different countries. I am a wife and mother, and enjoy art and poetry. One of my hobbies is antique restoration; I believe that I have a vision to see potential in all, no matter how tiny they might be.
